Teenager charged after Blackpool attack

Another teenager, aged 13, has been arrested and released on bail

A 17-year-old boy has been charged after two men were attacked from behind and robbed in Blackpool.

The victims, one of whom needs a walking aid, were knocked to the ground by three people at the junction of Windsor Avenue and Osbourne Road at around 5:30pm on Monday 21 November.

The offenders then ran off towards Lytham Road.

The 17-year-old has appeared in Blackpool Magistrates Court charged with robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon/bladed article and possessing a knife/sharp pointed article in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear before a Crown Court judge at a later date.

A 13-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
