Teenager arrested on suspicion of rape in Blackpool
The force were called to Queens Promenade on Saturday
Police in Lancashire have arrested a teenage boy on suspicion of rape.
The force were called to Queens Promenade in Blackpool on Saturday (20th September).
Officers attended and initially put a cordon in place.
Police say the victim is being supported by specially trained officers at this time.
In a statement Lancashire Police said: "Following enquiries, a 16-year-old boy from Fleetwood has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
"He remains in custody at this time.
"We are at the early stage of our enquiries and a dedicated team of officers has been assigned to this case."
