Stinger used to stop stolen Lancaster car
A 20-year-old man has been arrested
Police used a stinger to help stop a car that was stolen from outside a house in Lancaster.
It was reported stolen at 4:05am today (24 November).
Officers spotted the vehicle on the M65 in East Lancashire at around 5:20am.
When the car left the motorway at junction eight, a stinger was used to try and stop it.
The Golf continued on deflated tyres before being boxed in by police cars and stopped at the junction of Blackburn Road and Shuttleworth Link Road in Padiham.
A 20-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
