A woman from Preston's urging pregnant women and new mums to check themselves for breast cancer lumps.
Roisin Peelan was heavily pregnant and 32 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Stats show 1 in 3000 women are diagnosed with it during pregnancy.
The mum of two said things like swelling and rashes from breastfeeding can mask symptoms of the disease.
Roisin is now urging expecting and new mums to check themselves for signs of breast cancer and wants midwives to do checks at appointments, she said: "It can so easily go unnoticed, I was diagnosed in pregnancy and I was moisturising myself to avoid stretch marks and literally one day there wasn't a lump and then one day there was.
"I think the issue is women just put it down to changes in their breasts in pregnancy.
Roisin is also campaigning for maternity wear companies to have clothing labels reminding pregnant and new mums to check themselves, she said: "The fact that breast cancer isn't only a lump, it can be a rash, it can be an inverted nipple, it can be lots of different things and women can easily put that down to breastfeeding and just normal changes in pregnancy.
Roisin is urging anyone that's worried about symptoms of the disease to get themselves seen by their GP as soon as possible: "I think it's so important that people are aware to check and anything that's different for you that isn't your normal, you need to go and get it checked out.
"It's hard and it is scary and you don't want to have anything negative when you're exhausted and when you're a new mummy but the alternative is a lot lot lot more frightening...believe me, to have to tell your child that you're dying, nobody wants that do they.
"So check those boobs, be aware of what's normal for you, and don't put it off, today is the day you should go."
