Two men charged following Preston murder

Connor Rumble and Grant Gardner will appear before Magistrates in connection with Adam Le Roi's death

Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Preston have charged two men in connection with his death.

Police were called around 2.20am on Sunday morning to a report of a man having been attacked at a property on New Hall Lane.

Officers attended Kayley House where Adam Le Roi, 25, from Preston, was found with stab wounds to the chest.

He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment but sadly later died from his injuries.

A Home Office post mortem examination gave the cause of death as a multiple stab wounds.

Two men were arrested by police at the scene.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Connor Rumble, 25 and Grant Gardner, 24, both of New Hall Lane, Preston, have been charged with murder.

They are due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court later today.

Detective Chief Inspector Jane Webb, of Lancashire Police’s Force Major Investigation Team, said:

“While we have charged two men our enquiries continue. If you can help our investigation or have any information which is relevant, please come forward.

“Our thoughts remain very much with Adam’s family and friends at this sad time."
