Police trying to identify man found dead in woodland in Skelmersdale
The death isn't being treated as suspicious
Lancashire Police are appealing for information to help identify a man sadly found dead in Skelmersdale.
Police and the Ambulance Service were called around 5pm yesterday (Monday, July 18) to a report of a sudden death.
The body of a man had been found in woodland close to Thornbury, in an area known locally as The Tawd.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, however, the man has yet to be formally identified and officers want to trace his next of kin.
The man is described as white, with short, grey hair and aged between 55 and 65. He was wearing a black Hugo Boss t-shirt, grey jogging bottoms and black Adidas Trainers. He was in possession of a black baseball cap and a pair of black sunglasses and was wearing a wedding ring. He was also in possession of a half drunk bottle of BIN 161 white wine, which he may have bought yesterday.
