One victim suffered a neck injury and remains in hospital
Detectives, investigating a series of violent incidents in Accrington, have last night (23 July) charged a second man.
It comes following reports of a stabbing outside the Raza Jamia Masjid mosque on Friday (18 July), followed by an armed street fight which left two victims in hospital with stab wounds.
One man in his 40s has since been discharged; another suffered a neck injury and remains in a serious but stable condition.
The force confirmed Aiwaz Hussain, 22, from Monk Street in Accrington, has been charged with Section 18 wounding.
It comes after Ishtaq Hussain, 33, of no fixed address, was charged with multiple offences including Section 18 wounding with intent, grievous bodily harm, and possession of weapons.
Further appeal
The force are now appealing for help to trace three men.

Police were first called to Lower Antley Street at around 2.30pm on Friday following an assault outside Raza Jamia Masjid. Further reports of a street fight involving weapons came in just after 5pm from Steiner Street, followed minutes later by another stabbing on Richmond Street.
Officers say all three incidents are linked, and a dedicated team continues to investigate.
Three other people arrested on suspicion of affray have been released on bail.
