Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal collision in Blackburn earlier this year.
Officers were called to Whalley New Road at the junction with Plane Street at 2.34pm on Saturday, 29th March, following reports of a crash involving an Audi A3 and a Nissan Note.
The passenger of the Nissan, a man in his 90s, subsequently attended hospital with what were initially thought to be minor injuries.
However, his condition deteriorated, and the man died on 25th April.
The drivers of the Audi and the Nissan were not seriously injured.
Following enquiries, a 33-year-old man from Blackburn was arrested yesterday morning (6th May) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has since been released on bail.
Detective Sergeant Matt Davidson, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Tragically a man has died, and my thoughts are first and foremost with his loved ones at this difficult time."
“Work is ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to his death, and I would ask any witnesses we haven’t spoken to or anyone with footage to make contact with us as soon as possible.”
