Police investigating after pensioner assaulted on own doorstep in Fleetwood
The man in his 70s needed treatment for facial injuries
Lancashire Police are investigating after a pensioner was attacked on his own doorstep in Fleetwood.
It happened on Maple Avenue at around 10.15pm on Saturday.
Officers say they were called after the man in his 70s was attacked when he answered a knock on his front door.
The victim suffered facial injuries, and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
Lancashire Police are now appealing for information. They have asked that anyone who saw anything, or who has doorbell footage, contacts them on 101 quoting log 1392 of 13th January 2024.
