Lancashire’s police and crime commissioner has announced a series of new grants aimed at helping organisations increase safety across the region.

Clive Grunshaw is making grants of between £5000 and £100,000 available to establish new schemes promoting and ensuring safety.

The cash grants will be funded from money seized through the Proceeds of Crime Act. In Lancashire over the last few years, £1.2m has been returned to the Police and Crime Commissioner following court action to take funds and assets from convicted criminals.

Grant applications must be between £5,000 to a maximum of £100k and be supported by a business case and meet the funding criteria.

Applicants have until December 18th to submit their grant submissions and a selection panel will consider the applications in early January with grants awarded in time of the new financial year.
