Police launch appeal after elderly man dies in collision in Clayton-le-Wood

A man in his 70's has died after a car collided with a garden wall in Clayton-le-Wood.

A Suzuki Celerio travelling south on the A6 Preston Road towards Chorley struck the wall at around 10.48am on Saturday 18 May.

Lancashire Police say no other vehicle was involved.

The driver was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital.

A spokesperson at the force said: "Our thoughts are very much with his family and loved ones at this distressing time.

"If you witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage from the A6 at the time, please contact police on 1010 of by emailing quoting log 0468 of 18th May 2004."
