At 10.45pm we were made aware of cars driving at speed in Manchester Road towards Brierfield.

At 11.43pm we received a report of males fighting with weapons in Westmoreland Street, heading towards Lomeshaye Road.
There are no reports of any serious injuries.
Nobody has been arrested at this stage. Enquiries are very much ongoing.
DI Mark Saunders, of Burnley CID, said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the police. As you saw with the arrests made last week, if you are engaging in this kind of behaviour then you should expect a knock on the door.
“I know that law-abiding members of the community are absolutely appalled by it. I want to reassure them that patrols continued to be heightened in the area and work is ongoing to identify everybody involved.” Hear all the latest news from across the UK on the hour, every hour, on Greatest Hits Radio on DAB, smartspeaker, at greatesthitsradio.co.uk, and on the Rayo app.
