Police appeal after woman dies following crash in Morecambe

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Morecambe, where a pedestrian died.

Officers were called to the scene yesaterday (11 March), after reports of a collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian on Regent Road.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, died at the scene.

Police are now urging anyone with more information to come forward.

Sgt Kas Hussain, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “My thoughts first and foremost are with the loved ones of the woman who has sadly died as a result of this collision.

“An investigation is ongoing, and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened or who has any mobile, CCTV, Ring doorbell or dashcam footage to get in touch.”
