Police appealing for information after robbery in West Lancashire

People were threatened with a crowbar in the incident

Lancashire Police are investigating after a woman was threatened with a crowbar during a robbery in Rufford.

It happened on Tuesday, when the worker was leaving a pop up post office at Marina Facilities.

Two men got out of a black Kia Sportage, and threatened her and other members of the public with a crowbar, before stealing a cashbox.

They also took the office worker's handbag, keys and mobile phone

The Kia was later recovered by police, after it was spotted making off towards the A59.

Det Sgt Lee Jamieson, said: “This must have been a traumatic ordeal for the staff member, and it is fortunate she wasn’t hurt. I would appeal to anyone who has any information or footage to get in touch.”
