Police appeal after man robbed in Lancaster

The man was attacked by three men and had his wallet stolen

Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was robbed and assaulted in Lancaster.

Three men approached him on Torrisholme Road on Saturday 12 July, where he was assaulted and threatened with a knife.

Police say he suffered an injury to his face in the incident.

The men took his wallet and fled the scene, although it was found a short time later.

In a statement, the force said: "Did you witness a robbery in Lancaster on Saturday, July 12?

"Three men have approached the victim on Torrisholme Road, before assaulting him and making threats with a knife on Noel Road, leaving him with an injury to the face.

"They made off with his wallet, though it contained no cash and was located a short time later."
