Police appeal for dash cam footage after Wigan collision

A motorcyclist was left with serious injuries after colliding with roadworks

Police are appealing for dash cam footage after a collision in Wigan left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Shortly after 6am on Thursday 5th April, police were called to reports that a motorcycle had collided with some roadworks on Wigan Lane.

A red Honda 997c motorbike had been travelling through roadworks on Wigan Lane heading towards the town centre, when the man riding it fell from his bike.

The 31-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains.

Officers are appealing for dash cam footage to aid with their enquiries.

“We are piecing together how this collision happened and are asking for anyone with dash cam footage to send this to police.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident number 1962 of 05/04/18.”
