Police are appealing for a driver who was involved in a crash in Blackburn to come forward.

Police are appealing for a driver who was involved in a crash in Blackburn to come forward.

The incident happened on Greenhead Avenue at the junction with Fountains Avenue some time between 17:30 and 17:45 on the 3rd December 2015.

As a result of the collision a woman’s kneecap was shattered in three places and she had to have an operation.

PC Emma Lougheed, of Blackburn Police, said:

“The driver stopped immediately after the collision and offered his details, but was told they were not needed.

“The woman who had been struck was in shock and did not realise the extent of her injuries at the time.

“We would now like to speak to the driver to help us understand what happened, and would urge him to get in touch.”

The driver, or anybody with information about the incident, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 0582 of December 5th, 2015.
