Police appeal after woman raped in Preston

A corden's been in place outside Preston Bus Station following reports a woman in her 20s was raped.

Police say they were called just before 1am today (12th July) and the woman is being treated by specially trained officers.

No arrests have been made but an investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.

Reassurance patrols have been increased as a precaution but this is being treated as an isolated incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 0042 of 12th July 2022
