Lancashire Police are appealing for information after a man passed away in a crash last month in Lytham.

Officers were called to Preston Road back on Valentines Day - after a car hit a traffic bollard.

The 75-year-old died in hospital nearly four weeks later.

In a statement, they said: "A man has very sadly died following a collision in Lytham last month.

"Lancashire Police were called at 12.03pm on 14th February to Preston Road, Lytham, to a report of a road traffic collision.

"Our officers found that a Ford Fiesta car had been in collision with a traffic bollard.

"The car driver, a 75-year-old man, suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital.

"Very sadly, he died in hospital on 12th March. Our thoughts are very much with his family and loved ones at this distressing time.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area, please contact police on 101 – quoting log 0448 of 14th February – or email [email protected]".
