Preston North End and Blackpool go head to head in a local derby for the first time since 2013 this afternoon (23rd October).

Since their first meeting in 1901, the Lilywhites have won more games (45 of the 94 played while Blackpool has won 30) but the Tangerines are currently 3 points ahead in the Championship league table.

PNE are heading into the game off the back of a loss against Coventry on Wednesday while Blackpool came from behind in their match with Reading to win 3-2.

The last time the teams met 8 years ago, it looked like the game was heading into extra-time but captain Tom Clarke finished for PNE with a famous 87th minute goal.

The sold-out game will kick off at 3pm at Bloomfield Road.
