Blackpool Pleasure Beach is asking the public to submit messages to broadcast from space.

The amusement park is reported to become the first theme park to begin broadcasting messages from space, teaming up with scientists to carry out the initiative.

Working together with researchers from Sent Into Space, a specially-designed screen will be sent into the atmosphere, and will beam messages from the park's guests into space.

Now, the park are looking for people to give small messages that will be beamed across space, asking people to upload a small video that could be broadcast.

The message can be anything that people decide to be broadcast, whether its "a declaration of love, an important message or wishing to communicate with aliens".

Guests will have until the 8th of August to submit their proposed messages, with those making the cut being contacted by Pleasure Beach shortly afterwards.
