Pedestrian dies in crash in Lancaster

The Audi driver was "shocked but physically unhurt"

Police in Lancashire have launched an investigation following a crash in Lancaster.

Officers attended reports of a collision on the M6 motorway at around 11pm on Saturday (31 May).

It involved a pedestrian and an Audi Q7 travelling north between junctions 33 and 34 near Lancaster.

The force confirmed the pedestrian, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

It said the Audi driver was "shocked but physically unhurt".

Sgt Bex Price, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision very sadly resulted in the death of a man and my thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.

"I would appeal to anyone who has any information or footage such as dashcam or mobile to get in touch with us.”
