'Parrot' helps sell Blackrod home

An estate agent in Horwich is making a splash on the internet after they decided to have a bit of fun when they photographed a house up for sale on Boardman Street in Blackrod.
Platinum Properties decided they would come up with a unique way to have the property stand out so every image of the house features a giant, brightly coloured parrot!
Steve Laycock, who runs the estate agents, said "There was an increased amount of interest on that property. This is another house with a great view."
He went on to say, "The kitchen is black and white and we wanted to give it a bit of colour."
The listing has been getting plenty of attention since it was put online on Monday evening.
