Public warned to stay away from beach after 'oil spill'

Advice is being given for people to stay away from a beach in Lancashire after a suspected oil spill turned parts of it purple.

Lancashire Council confirmed a pollution incident had occurred at Half Moon Bay.

The council said it was working with other authorities, to investigate.

They issued this advice saying that residual contamination may still be present in the area.
