Motorcyclist seriously injured after Lancashire M6 crash

The collision occurred on the northbound carriageway near Junction 32 on Saturday evening

A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the M6 in Lancashire.

It happened on the northbound carriageway near Junction 32 just after 6:30pm on Saturday.

A Triumph Tiger 1050 motorcycle collided with the central reservation, before re-entering the live lanes.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, fell from the bike, and is sustained serious injuries.

He is in a stable condition in hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage of it, is being asked to contact Lancashire Police on 101, quoting log 1308 of June 1, or by emailing the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at SCIU@lancashire.police.uk.
