Man seriously injured after being hit by car in Lancaster city centre
A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Lancaster city centre.
The man, in his 40s, was waiting beside his vehicle in a loading bay yesterday morning when he was struck by a Mitsubishi Space Star Vehicle.
The incident took place on King street at aound 6.50am.
The man was rushed to hospital, where he is being treated for serious leg and back injuries.
In a statement Sft Thomas Malley from the Road Policing Unit said: “This collision has left a man with serious injuries – my thoughts are with him and his family.
“I appeal for anyone who witnessed this collision or may have dashcam or CCTV footage to get in touch as soon as possible.”
