Man killed in Ormskirk crash
It happened on Wanisher Lane yesterday evening.
Police are appealing for information after a man died in a collision in Ormskirk.
Officers were called shortly before 9.50pm yesterday (December 15) after the collision on Wanisher Lane.
A Renault Megane had left the road and collided with a tree.
The driver, a man in his 20s from Liverpool, suffered serious injuries and sadly died at the scene.
A passenger, also a man in his 20s, suffered more minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
Sgt Paul McCurrie, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly this collision has resulted in a young man losing his life and our thoughts are with his loved ones.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself or the Renault Megane in the moments before to get in touch. I would also appeal to anyone who may have any dashcam footage to contact us.”
