Man in hospital with serious injuries after West Lancashire motorbike crash
The motorcyclist hit a signpost this afternoon
A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after hitting a sign post, while riding a motorbike in West Lancashire.
It happened on the A570 Ormskirk Road in Bickerstaffe at about 12:20pm this afternoon.
Anyone who might have witnessed anything, or has dashcam footage, is being asked to contact police.
Statement from Lancashire Police:
"We were called at around 12:20pm this afternoon to the report of a collision on the A570 Ormskirk Road/ Four Lane Ends involving a motorcyclist and a sign post.
"The motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries and he has been taken to hospital.
"Road closures are in place and so we are advising people to avoid the area.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash cam footage or saw the rider in the lead up to the incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident reference 0589 of June 18th."
