A man from Burnley has been found guilty of the murder of his baby son at Preston Crown Court.

Oliver Mailey shook 7 week old Abel-Jax to death back in November 2021.

26 year old Mailey was found guilty by a majority verdict this afternoon, following a nine day trail.

Mailer shook his baby son between three and five times, out of frustration due to Abel Jax' crying.

The 7 week old boy was left with catastrophic brain injuries, similar to those if you fall from a building or in a car accident.

A post mortem also showed other previous injuries.

He'll be sentenced tomorrow.
