Man dies after 'losing control of motorbike' in Wigan

A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene

A man has died after it's believed he lost control of his motorbike in Wigan.

Police were called to Rutland Road, Tyldesley at around 10:50pm on Tuesday 18 April.

The motorcyclist had collided with a brick gate post of a residential address.

The rider, a 29-year-old man, died at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for witnesses - or anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage - to get in touch.
