Man dies after car crashes into tree in Ormskirk

A man has died after a crash in Ormskirk on Friday night (15 December).
Lancashire Police say its happened at about 21:50 when a car left the Wanisher Lane and crashed into a tree.
The man in his 20s from Liverpool died at the scene, whilst his passenger, also in his 20s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Sgt Paul McCurrie, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly this collision has resulted in a young man losing his life and our thoughts are with his loved ones.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself or the Renault Megane in the moments before to get in touch.
"I would also appeal to anyone who may have any dashcam footage to contact us.”
