A man's died after a crash on the M6.

The 48-year-old from St Helens was driving a lorry that went in to the back of another HGV which had had to do an emergency stop on the motorway near Broughton on Thursday night (12th January 2017).

PS Nigel Ralphson of the Road Policing Unit said:

“This is a tragic incident and my thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who died. An investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision is underway and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to contact us.”
