A man has been charged in connection with a police pursuit through Wigan borough.

It's alleged that a police vehicle was rammed in the incident on Saturday morning, and a flatbed pickup truck ended up on its side.

Emergency services were called to Kendal Road, Ince, at around 7.40am, after receiving reports that a van had been driven erratically.

The vehicle allegedly then failed to stop, resulting in a pursuit through the area, crossing into Leigh.

In an update, Greater Manchester Police said: "Nathan Price (24/04/1991) of Keswick Place, Ince, has been charged with three counts of attempted grievous bodily harm, dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.

"He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday 22 April).

"These charges are in connection with a road traffic collision which took place on Kendal Road and Holden Road on Saturday 20 April."
