Man charged after Blackpool stabbing

A man was stabbed in the neck in the early hours of Monday

A man has been charged following a stabbing in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police were called at 00.52am on July 5th to a report a man had been stabbed at the junction of Talbot Road and Dickson Road.

Officers attended the scene and found a man in his 40s had sustained a neck injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.

Jamie Wetton, 26, of Chester Road, Blackpool has now been charged with section 18 wounding and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Preston Crown Court on August 4th.
