A 54-year-old man has been arrested and bailed after threats were made to carry out a mass shooting at Montgomery High School in Blackpool.

A number of messages were posted to Facebook and Reddit on 30th and 31st of December 2015 describing plans to kill as many people as possible'' at Montgomery High School in Bispham on Monday (4th January 2016).
The school opened as normal after police said that the threat was not credible''. The day passed withour incident as officers provided a visible presence on site but many parents chose to keep their children away.
Anyone with information is being urged to come forward
