A man's been arrested after a young woman was threatened at knifepoint after she filled up her car at a petrol station in East Lancashire.

A man's been arrested after a young woman was threatened at knifepoint after she filled up her car at a petrol station in East Lancashire.

The 56-year-old from Blackburn's being questioned on suspicion of kidnap.

Police say the 22-year-old pulled into the forecourt at Tesco on Centenary Way in Burnley at about 6 o'clock last Wednesday.

When she got back into her car after paying, a man jumped in the passenger side with a knife and told her to drive.

She screamed and managed to get out of the car and into the shop and he ran off off.

Detectives arrested a man from Blackburn last night and he'll be questioned throughout the day.
