Man arrested in Rishton assault investigation is eliminated from enquiries
A 28 year old is currently in a "poorly condition" in hospital, after the attack
A man who was arrested in relation to an assault in Rishton has been released without charge.
Lancashire Police say the 35 year old has been arrested and questioned, and has now been eliminated from their enquiries.
Emergency services were called to George Street, near to the Roebuck pub, in the early hours of Saturday. A 28 year old was found with serious head injuries, and is currently in a "poorly condition" in hospital.
Another man, a 38 year old, was arrested on Monday on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody.
Officers still want to speak to anyone who saw anything, or who has any information.
