Lytham festival has been postponed again until 2022.

Despite the best efforts from organisers of the popular event, they say the timescales of the roadmap out of have caused hurdles that prevent it going ahead.

This is because the timescales for reopening are very close to the start of the festival, and despite exploring the possibility of just postponing until later in the year, travel restrictions on international travel mean complications for the artists involved.

The good news though, is that Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran Lionel Richie, and Diana Ross have all been rescheduled for new dates next year.

If you have tickets for this year, you'll be contacted by your ticket agent and they'll automatically be transferred to 2022.

If you do need to cancel, you'll be able to get a refund. Only contact your ticket agent if you haven't been contacted after 14 days.

In a statement founders of the festival, Dan and Peter, also said:

"We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the NHS for their extraordinary efforts in rolling out the vaccine, as well as thanking all of you for your patience and for keeping the spirit of Lytham Festival alive until we can return to The Green."

These are the new dates:

  • Wednesday 29th June 2022 – Lewis Capaldi
  • Thursday 30th June 2022 – Snow Patrol
  • Friday 1st July 2022 – Duran Duran
  • Saturday 2nd July 2022 – TBC
