Lower Darwen rape investigation: CCTV released of possible witness
Police think he spoke to a distressed woman on Branch Road on 8 April
Lancashire Police have released CCTV of a man they think could be a key witness in a rape investigation.
Officers think he spoke to a distressed woman on Branch Road in Lower Darwen at around 2:30am on 8 April 2023.
Lancashire Police said:
"We want to speak to you about the nature of the conversation to get a fuller picture of what was said.
"It’s believed you were walking from the direction of the A666 along Branch Road towards Duchess Street."
A 33-year-old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
Police want the man in the CCTV, or anyone who knows him, to call 101 or 01254 353553, quoting log 426 of 8 April 2023.
