Large fire breaks out at flat above Fleetwood pub
8 fire appliances are currently at the scene on Mount Road

A large fire has broken out in a flat above a pub in Fleetwood. The fire service were called to the Mount Hotel on Mount Road, just after 5.30 this evening, and eight fire appliances from Fleetwood, Bispham, Blackpool, South Shore, and Preston, together with an aerial ladder platform from Preston.
The blaze is now out, but crews are likely to remain in attendance for some time.
The Fire service are requesting that people avoid the area, and if you live in the area and are affected by smoke, then please keep windows and doors closed.
There is also likely to be road closures in place in the area for some time.
