Lancashire Police had a busy weekend at Rivington Pike over Easter but they say that the majority of the public adhered to current restrictions while enjoying the break.

A group of around 70 people causing anti-social behaviour was broken up on Friday (2nd April). GMP helped to move them onto the Howich area.

A public spaces protection order has been put in place in the area to prevent the use of BBQs and open flames on the moorland after the fire services had to put a number of them out, despite their pleas earlier in the week.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue service were also called to parks in Preston where grass and wheelie bins were deliberately set on fire.
