Lancashire's "Songaminute" man lands record deal

An 80-year-old Lancashire man with Alzheimer's who became an internet star has landed himself a record deal after his son posted videos of him singing in the car whilst driving around Blackburn.

An 80-year-old Lancashire man with Alzheimer's who became an internet star has landed himself a record deal after his son posted videos of him singing in the car whilst driving around Blackburn.

Ted McDermott who used to work at Butlins in Blackpool has been snapped up after his "carpool karaoke" videos went viral.

He's become known as the "Songaminute man."

He's been signed by Decca Records and will record a version of Frank Sinatra's "You make me feel so young."

Ted's son Mac posted the videos to raise £1,000 for Alzheimer's Society - but so far they've raised over £115,000.
