Lancashire's Fire and Rescue Service are warning people not to start fires on moorlands as they're risking people's lives.

This comes as 55 firefighters have been tackling a blaze that spread across 10 hectares on moorland in East Lancashire overnight.

They believe that that the fires were started deliberately.

It's the third grassfire to take place on Lancashire's moors in the past week.

They're also urging people to be careful smoking and using barbecues when near open grassland.

Police are investigating the incident.
