Two charged following death of man in Preston
Jack Jermy-Doyle, 25, died in hospital after being attacked on a night out
Police in Lancashire have charged two men following the death of a man from Burnley.
25 year old Jack Jermy-Doyle was attacked during a night out in Preston, and died in hospital just days later.
In a statement Lancashire Police say:
"Detectives investigating the death of Jack Jermy-Doyle have today (Tuesday, July 18) charged two men.
"Jack, 25, was assaulted on the junction of Harris Street and Birley Street, Preston, at approximately 2.40am on August 12th last year following an altercation with two men.
"He was taken to hospital but very sadly died two days later. His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
"Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Jak Fairclough, 28, of Blackpool Road, Preston, and Jake Parkinson, now aged 22, of Bow Lane, Preston, were today charged with manslaughter.
"They have been bailed to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court at 10am on August 3."
