More than 30 firefighters have been tackling a large blaze at a pallet yard next to a railway line off Enfield Road in Huncoat.

Residents were advised to keep doors and windows closed since the fire, which involved 3000 wooden pallets, generated a large plume of smoke.

The fire broke out at about 1.30pm

The incident caused delays of up to 30 minutes on trains between Blackburn and Rose Grove in Burnley, National Rail said.
