Homes left without power after underground explosion in Fleetwood
Nobody was injured in the incident last night
Hundreds of homes have been left without power after an explosion underground in an area of Fleetwood.
Emergency services and Electricity North West rushed to the scene in the Broadway area at around 7.20pm on Monday.
Nobody was injured, but homes had to be evacuated and a cordon was put in place.
Police believe it was an underground electrical issue.
In an update last night on social media, Electricity North West said: £Good evening, update from our team on site in #Fleetwood #FY7 We have managed to restore power to all properties affected. Thank you for your patience this evening.£
An investigation is now underway into the cause.
