Couple escape unharmed after lightning strikes their house in Wigan
A Wigan couple have escaped without injury despite a freak bolt of lighting setting fire to the roof of their house.
The incident happened last night on Lingmoor Close in the Hawkley Hall area.
The householders heard a bang but didn't realise their property was hit until a neighbour ran over to tell them their roof was in flames.
