Man in 60s dies following Forton crash

A man in his 60s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Forton this morning (23rd January).

Emergency services were called at 9.49am this morning to Coronation Avenue to reports a car had left the carriageway and collided with a hedgerow.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are now appealing for information.

Anyone who saw a black Ford Kuga on School Lane or the A6 prior to the collision is being urged to contact the police by calling 101, quoting log 0319 of 23rd January.
