Five rescued in two deliberate fires in Preston
A joint investigation is now underway to find those responsible
Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service have dealt with two deliberate fires in Preston overnight in which five people have been trapped inside buildings.
Two adults were led to safety in the first incident.
Three people and a dog were rescued in the second.
We're told a joint investigation is now underway with Lancashire Police in an effort to find those responsible.
In a tweet, Preston Fire Station said: "@Preston_Fire just returned from the second deliberate property fire of the night where people have been trapped inside. 2 adults lead to safety in the first one and 3 people and a dog rescued from the second one. Joint investigations underway with @PrestonPolice."
