UPDATE: 2 arrested after car damaged by gunshots in Preston

Police say there's no risk to the public.

2 men from Preston have been arrested, after a car was damaged by gunfire in the city.

Police were called around 2.25pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday 4 April), to a report of a vehicle being damaged on Briery Close, Fulwood.

After an investigation, officers believe it was caused by a firearms discharge.

A 28-year-old and 22-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of "possession of a firearm with intent".

Police say the investigation is continuing, and they're appealing for anyone who witnessed if, or has information.
